Texas Campaign Sign Laws: Polling Places, HOAs and Private Property
In Texas, no political signs within 100 feet of an outside door to a polling place, HOAs can't ban candidate or measure signs until the 10th day after the election (through Thursday, November 12, 2026), and cities can't ban political signs on private property with the owner's consent. State law sets no single removal deadline for yard signs, so check your city. Every rule links to the Texas Election Code, checked on October 26, 2026.

How to stay inside the Texas rules
Get the owner's permission for every yard
Texas cities can't ban political signs on private property with the owner's consent, so get that consent and keep the list.
Print the notice on every sign
Every political sign must carry the printed notice that placing it in a highway right-of-way violates state law. Keep signs out of the right-of-way.
Mark 100 feet around each polling place
Measure from each outside door to the polling place, and 20 feet from any curbside-voting space.
Write down where every sign went
You'll need it on take-down day.

Taking signs down?
Print the post-election sign cleanup checklist for your crew.
FlyerFly is an app for putting out yard signs and door hangers with your own crew. When your team puts out a sign, the app saves a GPS pin, a photo and the time, so you can see where every sign you placed is. While a job runs, your crew member's dot moves on your map with a Live badge, and a GPS trail shows where they went. It does not check whether a spot is legal, so use the rules above. It's nonpartisan and works the same for any campaign.
