Handing Over a Box of Door Hangers Is a Leap of Faith
The old way
- You find out how it went when the phone does or doesn't ring
- A rep says they covered the neighborhood and you can't check
- Nobody can tell you which streets were skipped
- Timesheet and employee-tracking apps weren't built for a door hanger route
- When the rep leaves, the record of what they covered leaves too
With FlyerFly
- Watch the rep's route on a map while they work
- See covered streets against the zone you drew
- Get a timestamped record of every route, kept after it ends
- Track your own team or a rep you recruit with a share link
- Use the same app for yard signs, with a photo of each one
Built for your industry.
Live Route on a Map
The rep's GPS trail builds street by street while they work. You open the app and see where they have been.
Covered vs. Skipped
You draw the area you want covered. After the route you can see the streets inside it that were walked and the ones that weren't.
Timestamped History
Every route is saved with its times, so the record is still there when you want to check it, pay for it, or repeat it.
Photos on Signs
Yard sign placements come back with a timestamped, GPS-tagged photo of the sign, so signs are proven as well as tracked.
Your Own Reps
Invite your team by QR code, or share a recruit link for someone new. You don't need to hire FlyerFly's drivers to use the tracking.
Runs on the Rep's Phone
The rep just opens the route on their phone. On iPhone, tracking keeps running with the screen locked.
Ways to use FlyerFly.
Checking a New Rep
Watch the first route of someone you haven't worked with before, and see what a real day looks like.
Paying for Coverage
Pay for the area that was walked, with the route on the map as the record.
Re-covering Gaps
See the streets that were missed and send someone back to those, not to the whole zone.
Handing Over a Territory
When a rep leaves, the next one opens the same route history and sees what was covered.
Know Where Your Reps Are
Draw an area, assign the route, and watch it get covered.

What to look for in an app that tracks a door hanger rep
The question behind every search for a door hanger tracking app is the same: I gave someone a stack of door hangers, and I want to know what happened to them. Apps that claim to answer it differ on a few things that are worth checking before you pick one.
FlyerFly is built for this one job. It is not a timesheet or employee-monitoring app, which is why it does not ask your rep to clock in or fill out a form. It follows a route.
- Does it show location while they work, or only afterward. A report at the end of the day tells you what happened. A map you can open at 2 p.m. lets you do something about it at 2 p.m.
- Does it compare the route to the area you wanted covered. A line on a map is only useful if you can see it against the zone. The question is which streets were skipped, not whether the person moved.
- Does it work with your own people. Many distribution companies send their own staff and will not track yours. Many tracking apps assume you already have a team. You want to use the reps you already have, or recruit one.
- Does it keep the record. Routes should still be there next month, with times, when you are deciding what to pay or whether to rehire.
Live location, in plain terms
When a rep starts a route in FlyerFly, their phone sends its GPS position and the trail builds on your map street by street. You can open the app at any point and see where they have been. On iPhone the tracking keeps running when the screen is locked, so the rep does not have to keep the app in the foreground while they walk.
You draw the area in the app by circling it on the map, rather than dropping a pin. The app estimates how many homes are inside it before you commit, and the rep gets that same zone as their route.
Afterward the route stays on record with its timestamps, so you can look at what was covered and what was not.
Tracking your own door hanger team
You do not have to use FlyerFly's drivers to get the tracking. Invite your own reps by QR code and they see the same route on their phones. If you need someone new, share the recruit link on Facebook, Instagram or by text and they sign up from there.
The business supplies the door hangers. FlyerFly does not print them. You print or order your own, the rep picks them up, and the app handles where they go and the record of the route.
What the tracking can and cannot tell you
A GPS trail shows that a person walked a street at a given time. It does not, by itself, prove that every hanger on that street was hung. That is a real limit, and it is the reason yard signs in FlyerFly come back with a photo of each sign, while door hanger routes are proven by the track across the zone.
What the trail does well is catch the common failures: a rep who never went to half the area, a route done in a fraction of the time it takes, and a neighborhood that was skipped entirely. Those are the problems that cost you the most, and a map makes them obvious in a way a verbal report does not.
Common questions
What is the best app to track your door hanger rep?
The best app is one that shows your rep's route on a map while they work, compares it with the area you wanted covered, and keeps a timestamped record. FlyerFly does this for door hangers and flyers by GPS, and works with your own team or a rep you recruit with a share link.
How do I track my door hanger rep?
Draw the area you want covered in FlyerFly, assign it to your rep as a route, and they open it on their phone. Their GPS trail builds on your map as they walk, and the route is saved afterward with its times.
Is there an app that tracks flyer distribution by GPS?
Yes. FlyerFly tracks flyer and door hanger distribution by GPS. You see the route on a map, which streets were covered, and a saved record of each route. It also tracks yard sign placements, with a photo of each sign.
Can I see my door hanger crew's live location?
Yes. While a route is running, the crew member's position and the trail they have walked show on your map. On iPhone, tracking continues when the screen is locked.
How do I know my door hanger distributor actually delivered?
Check their route against the area you paid for. A GPS trail shows whether they walked the streets and how long it took. It does not prove every hanger was hung, but it exposes skipped streets and routes done far too quickly, which are the usual failures.
Can I use FlyerFly to track my own employees or contractors?
Yes. Invite them by QR code and assign them routes. They are tracked the same way anyone else is, and you do not have to hire FlyerFly's drivers.
Is FlyerFly an employee GPS tracking or timesheet app?
No. FlyerFly tracks door hanger and yard sign routes: where they went, when, and what was covered inside the area you drew. It is not a timesheet, payroll or general workforce monitoring tool.
Does FlyerFly print the door hangers?
No. You bring your own printed door hangers and yard signs. FlyerFly handles the map, the route and the record of where they went.
